Student Flute

Open hole model with C foot, silver-plated keys and tubing, and in-line G keys. Progressive embouchure hole cut, hard-shell case and cleaning rod. This is the most economical open hole model we make. It is built on the 102 platform and has been used for generations. Can be used as a beginner's flute with the addition of plugs for younger players to fill the open holes. Options include offset G and B foot.

The CNC Machined Pad Cup

Sometimes, innovations cannot be seen, but are hidden deep within the mechanism of an instrument. During the early summer of 08 the key cups of Armstrong flutes received a makeover. Our flute makers decided to change the inside of the key cups of the flute from a stamped cup to a CNC technology machined cup. This means that the inside of the key cup is perfectly flat and that the screw spud is perfectly centered. This make a superior closing key with far less tendency to have air leaks.
