Our "Classic" closed hole model for beginning students. Played and recommended for generations, this model is the first choice in the American tradition for learning the flute. This silver-plated model includes a "Progressive" style headjoint which flute teachers have chosen for its crisp response and ease of playing. Key cups are our special signature flat cup to prevent air leakage. Heavy plating and sturdy mechanism will assure that your student will play this model for years to come. The offset G mechanism is hung on a separate rod, allowing a sturdy mechanism. The undermount adjusting screws provide a sleeker more professional look. For offset G order 104OS.

The CNC Machined Pad Cup

Sometimes, innovations cannot be seen, but are hidden deep within the mechanism of an instrument. During the early summer of 08 the key cups of Armstrong flutes received a makeover. Our flute makers decided to change the inside of the key cups of the flute from a stamped cup to a CNC technology machined cup. This means that the inside of the key cup is perfectly flat and that the screw spud is perfectly centered. This make a superior closing key with far less tendency to have air leaks.
